Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which has signed many projects on environmental cleaning, held the Izmit Bay East Basin Bottom Sludge Cleaning, Dewatering and Disposal Work Tender. 4 companies submitted bids for the tender held at the Metropolitan Tender Hall. Due to the fact that 2 companies did not deposit collateral in the tender, which was held via Electronic Tender, they were excluded from the tender. After the evaluation of the tender commission, the winning company will be determined.

4 FIRM OFFERED

Tender for Cleaning, Dewatering and Disposal of Izmit Bay East Basin Bottom Sludge was held by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality with the support of Presidency, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Climate Change. In the tender, Albayrak Construction submitted 339 million TL, Atlas Construction 714 million 950 thousand TL, Yütek Construction 790 million TL and Unitek Construction 808 million TL bid. However, Unitek and Yutek companies were excluded from the tender because they did not submit a bid bond.

APPROXIMATELY 2 BILLION TL PROJECT

Taking action after the mucilage disaster in the Marmara Sea, the Metropolitan Municipality made preparations for the bottom mud cleaning project, which is important to save the Gulf of Izmit. The approximate cost of the two-stage cleaning work is 2 billion TL. Within the scope of the first phase of the project, it is planned to extract 1 million 225 thousand 9 cubic meters of mud in an area of ​​462 million 445 thousand square meters in the eastern basin.

650 WILL BE COMPLETED IN DAY

Within the scope of the project, sludge will be removed with pipes from the bottom with two ships and transported to the dewatering facility to be established behind the Izmit Athletic Track. The Bottom Sludge Cleaning, Dewatering and Disposal project is planned to be completed in 650 days.
