TURKEY HAS ADVANTAGE IN OVERSEA WIND ENERGY

According to the GWEC Global Wind Report 2022, Turkey is among the countries with the highest offshore wind energy potential, along with Azerbaijan, Australia and Sri Lanka. Turkey plans to include 2030 GW of wind installed power in its electricity system by 20. Turkey's onshore wind energy installed power is at the level of 11 GW. The potential of the country, which does not have an offshore wind power plant, is calculated as 70 GW.

In parallel with the great potential of the energy sector, which is foreseen in Turkey in 10 years, it is expected that a market of approximately 2035 billion Euros will be created with the installation of 4 500 MW DRES until 12, and this makes Marectech Expo even more important. It is also seen that other offshore energy sources, especially floating SPPs, will also develop. Marentech Expo - Offshore Energy Technologies Fair, which will be the only meeting point of the sector, will contribute and accelerate the trade volume of the Turkish offshore energy sector.
