Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy attended the opening of the Hacı Bayram Veli Museum in Hamamarka.

Minister Ersoy stated that they have lent a total of 24 works to 4 private museums to be exhibited temporarily within the framework of the signed protocols, for periods ranging from 502 to 1 years.

Starting his speech by commemorating Hacı Bayram Veli with mercy and respect, Ersoy said that Hacı Bayram Veli, who made Ankara his hearth and warmed and illuminated the whole of Anatolia with his fire, raised many heartfelt soldiers, especially Akşemseddin, the spiritual conqueror of Istanbul.

Emphasizing that Hacı Bayram's legacy permeates every stone of this land, the yeast of civilization, Ersoy said, “This legacy does not get old, worn out, or destroyed. Because its existence is not in matter, but in meaning. As long as we remember this meaning, keep it alive and pass it on to our generations, its legacy will stand tall. This is how we should evaluate the Hacı Bayram Veli Museum, as a reminder to this structure, as a promise we made to both our past and our future.” he said.

Congratulating Altındağ Municipality and Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, who established this museum in an exemplary cooperation to promote Hacı Bayram Veli's understanding of mysticism and philosophy of life, Ersoy said, “While the museum provides a great added value to our capital in terms of museology, I believe that the spiritual heritage I have expressed is It will also fulfill its responsibility to preserve it.” used the phrases.

Ersoy said that as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, they have achieved great success in the field of museology in the last 20 years, they have taken serious steps to protect the cultural heritage, they have opened new museums that meet the needs of the developing and changing museology understanding at the highest level, and they have renewed the existing museums in this direction.

“Private museums are among the most important stakeholders that you will walk together on this path”

Emphasizing that from its building to its display, from the opportunities and services it offers to the educational activities carried out, museums have become institutions that receive awards after awards and are shown as an example, and that Turkey is among the leading countries that set goals in museology, and continued his words as follows:

“If museology is desired to develop and become widespread in a country, private museums are one of the most important stakeholders you will walk together on this path. As we are aware of this fact, as the ministry, we also support private museum activities that are carried out in line with us, based on the same values ​​and sensitivities. The increase in the number of private museums in recent years is a result of this. We have broken the record we reached by approving the opening of 2020 private museums in 26 and 2021 private museums in 29, with the approval of 2022 new private museums in 32, even though we are only in October. As of today, the number of private museums has reached 351.”

Pointing out that private museums are not limited to the establishment phase, Ersoy said, “So far, we have lent a total of 24 works to 4 private museums for temporary display within the framework of signed protocols for periods ranging from 502 to 1 years. In this direction, we have completed their conservation and delivered 5 works in the inventory of our Ankara Ethnography Museum, including the personal belongings of Hacı Bayram Veli, to the Private Hacı Bayram Veli Museum for temporary display.” shared his knowledge.

Expressing that supporting the steps taken for the preservation and preservation of cultural and civilizational heritage is beyond a duty for them, it is a debt of loyalty to history and ancestors, and said, “We would be happy if we could repay this debt even a little bit with the successes achieved.” said.

Ersoy has been honored by the ministries of many private museums in different provinces, as well as the most prestigious international awards in this field, such as the Council of Europe Museum Award, the European Museum of the Year Award, the Culture and Art Special Award, the European Museum Forum Silletto Award and the European Union Cultural Heritage Grand Award. Noting that he was deemed worthy of the award, he said that all museums will write new success stories in the coming years.

Pointing out that museums will find their meaning and purpose only through individuals who are interested in their history and culture and have a desire to learn and understand about them, Ersoy said that as the ministry, they will continue to protect both the national culture and the common heritage of humanity, and that they will stand behind every step taken on this path.

Asking citizens to visit museums, Ersoy said, “Add these unique places to your alternatives to spend time with your children. Remember, every success is half, incomplete unless you own it.” he said.

Altındağ Mayor Asım Balcı also stated that the house where Hacı Bayram Veli, one of Ankara's spiritual architects, was born in Solfasol, will be rebuilt from mud bricks, remaining faithful to the original, and will be opened to visitors as a museum.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Özgül Özkan Yavuz, Rector of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin and AK Party Ankara Deputy Lütfiye Selma Çam also attended.

After the opening ribbon was cut, Ersoy and his entourage toured the museum where the cardigans, felt cones, crown and poems written by the poets of the period were exhibited by Hacı Bayram Veli.

Ersoy visited some stops of the Capital Culture Road Festival

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy moved from the Hacı Bayram Veli Museum to the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum. Children playing traditional games in the garden of the museum welcomed Ersoy.

Ersoy, who toured the stands set up by Beypazarı Municipality within the scope of the Square Events, watched the performance of the segmen.

Ersoy, who visited the exhibitions opened as part of the Capital Culture Road Festival in Ankara Castle At Pazarı Street, also toured the Aphrodisias-Ara Güler Exhibition and the Word Museum, which were presented at the Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum.
