The "An Innovative Step for Urgent Action in the Chemical Industry: Emergency Response Software" project developed by GEBKİM OSB, known for being the first Chemical Specialized Organized Industrial Zone in Turkey for the prevention of occupational accidents and emergencies, for about 18 months, received another award. With the project developed for the first time in Turkey, GEBKİM OSB was deemed worthy of the "Efficiency Award" in the field of sustainability at the "Factories Producing Their Energy" Summit.
AWARDED FIRST TIME BY TİSK
Within the scope of the project, which also won the first prize in the Occupational Health and Safety category of the "Common Tomorrows Awards" given by the Turkish Confederation of Employers' Unions (TİSK) to create common futures together, the unmanned aerial vehicles that will act autonomously with artificial intelligence on the GEBKİM OSB will prevent possible accidents. and it will ensure that fires can be intervened before they grow. In the OIZ, emergency events can be intervened immediately.

GEBKİM Training Manager Nisa Y. Yılmaz, who gave information about the project in the interview held at the award ceremony, said, “In order for the system to work efficiently in the 18-month period from its installation to the activation process, all GEBKİM and participating company emergency teams should provide basic first aid, emergency training, fire risk assessment, Trainings were given on issues of great importance in the chemical industry, such as chemical spills and leaks, and firefighting. With the program consisting of 12 training titles and 3 seminars, the individual and institutional capacities of employers and employees were increased at the end of the trainings given to approximately 2 people.” he said.
