Turkey's first chemistry specialized OIZ, GEBKİM, was deemed worthy of the "Efficiency Award" in the field of sustainability at the Factories Producing Energy with its "Emergency Response Software", where autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles will perform emergency detection, response, risk information and damage assessment tasks. . Reminding that the project was awarded first place by TİSK before, GEBKİM OSB Chairman of the Board V. İbrahim Araci said, “In our exemplary ecosystem, which we have established with the principle of city, human and environment, we attach great importance to occupational health as well as production. We will continue to include all the possibilities of technology in the prevention and first response of accidents.” made the statement.
The "An Innovative Step for Urgent Action in the Chemical Industry: Emergency Response Software" project developed by GEBKİM OSB, known for being the first Chemical Specialized Organized Industrial Zone in Turkey for the prevention of occupational accidents and emergencies, for about 18 months, received another award. With the project developed for the first time in Turkey, GEBKİM OSB was deemed worthy of the "Efficiency Award" in the field of sustainability at the "Factories Producing Their Energy" Summit.
AWARDED FIRST TIME BY TİSK
Within the scope of the project, which also won the first prize in the Occupational Health and Safety category of the "Common Tomorrows Awards" given by the Turkish Confederation of Employers' Unions (TİSK) to create common futures together, the unmanned aerial vehicles that will act autonomously with artificial intelligence on the GEBKİM OSB will prevent possible accidents. and it will ensure that fires can be intervened before they grow. In the OIZ, emergency events can be intervened immediately.
“1820 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TRAINED”
GEBKİM Training Manager Nisa Y. Yılmaz, who gave information about the project in the interview held at the award ceremony, said, “In order for the system to work efficiently in the 18-month period from its installation to the activation process, all GEBKİM and participating company emergency teams should provide basic first aid, emergency training, fire risk assessment, Trainings were given on issues of great importance in the chemical industry, such as chemical spills and leaks, and firefighting. With the program consisting of 12 training titles and 3 seminars, the individual and institutional capacities of employers and employees were increased at the end of the trainings given to approximately 2 people.” he said.
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO INCLUDE ALL OPPORTUNITIES OF TECHNOLOGY”
GEBKİM OIZ Chairman of the Board of Directors V. İbrahim Araci, who stated that he was very happy that the project was crowned with awards, said, “We have implemented an ecosystem that protects our nature and human labor, GEBKIM OIZ. In our exemplary ecosystem, which we have established with the principle of city, human and environment, we attach great importance to occupational health as well as production. One of the results of our understanding was the 'Emergency Response Software' project, which was awarded by TİSK. In addition to having emergency response units that are always ready for any negative situation to be experienced, we wanted to have a system that would immediately warn them and monitor the development of accidents and fires. And by achieving this, we actively commissioned this project in our OIZ in the past months. We are very happy that our work has been appreciated on many platforms in a short time. We will continue to include all the possibilities of technology in the prevention and first response of accidents.” he said.
