On the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the 99 October Republic Day, an official parade was held on Vatan Caddesi in Fatih. Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, 1st Army Commander General Ali Sivri and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, to the Republic Day celebration ceremony, their spouses; Hatice Nur Yerlikaya attended with Şafak Sivri and Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu. Many citizens rushed to Vatan Street with Turkish flags in their hands. Within the scope of the celebrations; Yerlikaya, Sivri and İmamoğlu greeted the citizens on an open-top military vehicle. Ceremony; It started with a moment of silence for Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms and all our martyrs, singing the National Anthem and raising the flag. After the message of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was read, Istanbul Governor Yerlikaya delivered his speech. The parade began with the military band team taking their place in the ceremony area. The show of the "Turkish Stars", the first team in the world to demonstrate with 8 supersonic warplanes, also took place at the ceremony.
BAĞCILAR SQUARE PARTNER IN THE REPUBLIC EMPOWERMENT
After the official celebrations on Vatan Street, İmamoğlu went to Bağcılar Square and experienced the Republic Day events organized by the İBB in the district. İmamoğlu, who entered the square under the intense interest of the citizens, distributed toys to the children at the İBB stand. İmamoğlu, who shared the enthusiasm of the Republic in Bağcılar, did not refuse the requests of the citizens to take photos.
