Wang Chunfa, Head of the National Museum of China, stated that by the end of 2021, 6 museums, 183 public libraries, 3 cultural halls, 215 cultural stations and 3 village-level comprehensive cultural service centers have been registered across the country.

Emphasizing that more than 90 percent of all social facilities in question are open to the public free of charge, Wang stated that 36 thousand exhibitions are held in museums across the country and 323 educational activities are held every year.

Wang Chunfa also pointed out that the construction of five national cultural parks for the Great Wall, the Grand Canal, the Long Walk, the Yellow River and the Yangtze River is progressing steadily. He said he supported projects such as the protection of artifacts and archaeological excavations.

Wang Chunfa also noted that in 2021, more than 3 online exhibitions were held in museums via the internet, and a total of more than 4.1 billion people watched the exhibitions online.
