The 100th anniversary of the Mudanya Armistice, which was the first victory of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in the political and diplomatic field, 'after the Great Offensive that ended in victory', was celebrated with enthusiasm.
After the official ceremonies in front of the Armistice House, the 100th anniversary of the Armistice of Mudanya was celebrated with different events organized by the Metropolitan Municipality and continued throughout the day. While the Mudanya coast was decorated with Turkish flags, the '100th Anniversary of the Armistice Photograph Exhibition' was opened by the Department of Culture and Social Affairs in front of the BUDO pier. The visuals about the peace talks held in the Mudanya Armistice House and the celebration events held in front of the historical building in the first years of the Republic were watched with interest by the people of Mudanya. Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş, Mudanya District Governor Ayhan Terzi and Uludağ University Rector Prof.Dr. He visited the photography exhibition with Ahmet Saim Guide. The live sculpture show performed by the Street Arts Workshop with a team of 15 people in the exhibition area was watched with interest by the citizens. The Mudanya Armistice was explained with live performances around the clock, while the citizens were queuing up to take a souvenir photo with the living statues.
With the cooperation of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, Youth and Sports Services Department and Burgaz Sailing Club, the enthusiasm of the 100th anniversary was carried to the sea. Athletes made a parade in the sea with sailboats. By the way; In the Blue Cruise organized by the Metropolitan Municipality, the boat sailed with a giant banner celebrating its 100th anniversary.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that the Mudanya Armistice has a historical importance for the Turks and world peace. Noting that the Ankara government fulfilled its demands without firing a shot after the great victory thanks to the Mudanya Armistice, President Aktaş said, “For the first time, the Allies confronted the Ankara government as the only legitimate government of Turkey. This was our country's new victory. With the agreement, Turkey was once again settling in European lands by retaking Eastern Thrace.
