100 Pieces Limited TT RS Coupe Iconic Edition2 in Honor of Audi TT

Audi celebrates the 25-year success story of its iconic model TT Coupe with the very special and high-performance Audi TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition100, limited to only 2 units.

The RS version of the sports car, which was first introduced to the market in 1998 and has since become an inspiration with its design and driving performance, draws attention with its impressive performance and especially its sound.

With its timeless design, TT, which has been the icon of the Audi brand for almost a quarter of a century, now sets the trend of the future with the TT RS Coupe Iconic Edition2. The new model shows that it is a fast sports car with innovations in its design and dynamics, while retaining the typical TT RS characteristics. The Audi TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition2, in addition to following the design language of the TT, which represents courage and elegance, has taken on a much more remarkable identity with its special interior and exterior details, and its award-winning five-cylinder engine.

Inspired by the Bauhaus movement

The almost symmetrical Audi TT Coupé, which Audi first exhibited at the IAA Frankfurt in 1995, has consistently followed a design principle based on geometric, circular shapes since then.

Three years later, the coupé model began to be produced virtually unchanged. A year after the TT Coupé, Audi introduced the TT Roadster to the market. Since its second generation, the coupe has evolved with an S and an RS version.

Inspired by the well-known philosophy of the Bauhaus movement, 'less is more – less is more', the radical and bold design provided by the apprenticeship of unnecessary and unimportant elements in the TT model soon reached the point of 'Timeless' design. Thus, it continued to be fashionable by going beyond the trends in every period.

Three generations and a quarter of a century later, the typical lines of the 1998 coupé can be seen in the TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition2. Minimalist design in the new model; extends from the outside to the interior, which is clearly and simply focused on the driver. Cylinder and circular shapes used in the instruments and adapting to the interior, fuel tank cap, circular ventilation outlets, gear knob and edges are the first striking details in the Audi TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition2.

Legendary Five-Cylinder Engine

The TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition2 features Audi Sport's 400 TFSI engine that produces 480 hp and delivers a maximum torque of 2.5 Nm. Numerous achievements in motorsport make it one of Audi's most attractive powertrains. Countless motorsport victories and strong performance in everyday use have earned this five-cylinder engine the “International Engine of the Year Award” nine times in a row since 2010. As with the TT RS, power is transferred to permanent all-wheel drive quattro drive via the 7-speed S tronic transmission. The Audi TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition2 reaches a top speed of 280 km/h. The compact sports car can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3,7 seconds.

Dark color elegance that comes with the right toning

The Audi TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition2 meets high aesthetic expectations. The RS-specific Nardo Gray trim is the right shade for the exclusive and athletic look of the special model. This gray shade got its name from the Pista di Nardó race track in Italy, where the first tests of the Audi RS models were held.

Elegance, the quattro lettering in matt titanium look has become even more accentuated on the single-frame glossy black grille. This emphasis has also been successfully applied to the Audi rings, the TT RS lettering at the front and rear, and the protections of the exterior mirrors. Sophisticated, Edition2-specific 7-spoke 20-inch glossy black alloy wheels with black brake calipers continued the design language down to the finest detail. Partially tinted rear triangular windows and special “Iconic Edition” lettering complete the coupé's striking dark look all the way to the rear.

Motorsport Genes: Aerokit that develops sporting character

The Audi TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition2 also gains dynamic power from the Aerokit developed in a wind tunnel. Motorsport inspired front spoiler; it has side fins, a separator and side air intakes separated by wings. At the rear, the carbon spoiler, which is fixed together with the side fins, provides a sporty appearance and supports performance and efficiency as part of the aerodynamic concept.

The RS-exclusive diffuser features vertical design elements on either side and is rounded off by two striking, oval-shaped tailpipes. Many elements are used in glossy black, in keeping with the color philosophy of the special edition.

Special Interior Design Highlights

The attention to detail in the interior design of the TT RS Coupé Iconic Edition2 immediately draws attention. The dark color continues to be the main motif in the interior, just as in the exterior design. The RS sports seats feature thin Nappa side panels in jet gray and black Alcantara center panels with daffodil yellow honeycomb stitching. The special "Iconic Edition" lettering is embroidered on black Alcantara. The black floor mats are finished with yellow RS embroidery, while the door armrest and center console are decorated with jet gray and daffodil yellow contrast stitching, just like the black body of the Audi virtual cockpit. And a numbered badge on the gear lever completes the interior design, making each of the 100 vehicles in this special edition unique.
