In Russia, Wagons Are Drawn to Warehouse Due to Lack of Bearings

Wagons, which are called “innovation wagons” in Russia and can carry more loads compared to normal wagons, were stuck with the lack of bearings. Kommersant newspaper writes that 7 wagons that could not be serviced due to the lack of cassette type bearings were taken to the warehouse in August.

Transport operator NTK announced that the number of wagons left idle in their own companies is over 6. Speaking to the newspaper, the company official said that this number was only around 1400 in July.

The NTK official adds that they are currently testing bearings made in China, but that the 10 percent customs duty must be canceled in order to use these bearings effectively. According to Kommersant, the Ministry of Industry and Trade does not agree to this for now.
