Giving the good news at the press conference held in Ankara, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said, “Next year, we will open the historical Alsancak Tekel Factory as a culture and art complex and include İzmir in our festivals. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy introduced the Turkish Cultural Road Festivals at CSO Ada Ankara before the Capital Cultural Road Festival, which will start in Ankara.

Stating that Turkey is one of the rare countries in the world that organizes such a wide range of cultural and artistic activities, Minister Ersoy said:

“We continue our festivals with the vision of promoting the extraordinary assets of our country in the field of culture in the best way and making our cities a brand. We successfully completed our Troy Cultural Road Festival in Çanakkale, which we included in the scope of the festival this year, and we brought our events together with more than 300 thousand citizens. Our Konya Mystical Music Festival continues with great interest of the public. The countdown to the festivals has started in Ankara, Istanbul and Diyarbakır. In March next year, we open the historical Alsancak Tekel Factory in İzmir, having transformed it into a culture and art complex, and then we add İzmir to the scope of our festivals in April. In addition, we include the Gaziantep Gastronomy Festival, as well as the Adana Orange Blossom Carnival, within the scope of Turkey's Cultural Road Festivals. More than 300 thousand people watched our events in Çanakkale

Minister Ersoy, who also shared the details about the festivals at the meeting, continued as follows:

“We brought together 16 events with the participation of more than 25 artists in 42 different venues at our Troy Cultural Road Festival, which we organized between 1000-112 September. In the festival, which started with the 'Trojans Arrived' cortege march, approximately 25 thousand people watched the Trojan show of the Fire of Anatolia, which took place in our biggest stage, the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastions. From concerts to theaters, from film screenings to workshops, our events for people of all ages and tastes met with more than 300 people. In addition to our cultural and artistic activities, we spread the festival spirit to the whole city with bicycle tour, memory diving and Gallipoli Marathon. In the Mystical Music Festival, which started in Konya on September 22 and will last until September 30, artists from many countries, from Spain to Germany, from Uzbekistan to India, will present their different beliefs and cultures in the most striking ways thanks to the effective power of music. brings together art lovers with its aspects. Our Beyoğlu and Capital Cultural Road Festivals, which will be held in our two big cities, will start simultaneously on October 1st and end on October 23rd. Diyarbakir will join the festival enthusiasm between 8-16 October.”

Minister Ersoy also referred to the events that came first in the festivals to be held in Istanbul, Ankara and Diyarbakır, and called everyone to be a part of the festivals. Minister Ersoy said:

“As part of the Capital Cultural Road Festival, Tosca Opera will be performed at the Grand Theater on October 1 and 3. One of the major productions of the Ankara State Opera and Ballet General Directorate, the piece was staged for the first time in 1941 with the leading role of Tosca, the first opera singer of the Republic of Turkey, Semiha Berksoy. In memory of Semiha Berksoy, who became integrated with the role of Tosca in our country, her daughter Prof. Dr. Prepared under the direction of Zeliha Berksoy, the work will be staged with a production that is closest to the original with its decor, costume and lighting design as well as a crowded artist staff. At the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival, the Istanbul Cinema Museum will host the most comprehensive exhibition of cult film director Stanley Kubrick to date.
