Troy Cultural Road Festival Has Started

The Troy Cultural Road Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as part of the Turkish Cultural Road Festivals, has started.

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Çanakkale Governor İlhami Aktaş, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Bülent Turan, AK Party Çanakkale Deputy Jülide İskenderoğlu, Çanakkale Mayor Ülgür Gökhan and Çanakkale Wars and Gallipoli Historical Site Director İsmail Kaşdemir and other participants at Kordon Boyu held a cortege.

The march with the theme of “Trojans are Coming” continued until the area where the Trojan Horse stands in front of the Governor's Office, accompanied by marches and Turkish flags. Afterwards, the Ankara State Opera and Ballet artists' performances were presented.

Speaking after the show, Minister Ersoy said, “The Troy Cultural Road Festival, which we organized as part of the Turkish Cultural Road Festivals, would be beneficial to our Çanakkale and Turkey. We are starting our festival here today. Thank you to all the participants.” said.

Minister Ersoy also inaugurated the Çanakkale Wars Research Center. Then, he opened the “I Have a Story” exhibition held at the Hangar in the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion.

Ersoy, who examined the earthenware made by the masters at the ceramic stand set up in the bastions, had a souvenir photo taken at the archaeological excavation sites prepared for children.

Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy then moved on to Kale Group's 65th year exhibition “A Life Shaped by the Land”. Ersoy, who was welcomed by Kale Group President and Senior Manager Zeynep Bodur Okyay, received information about the exhibition.

Afterwards, Ersoy and his entourage watched the 'Troy' show performed by the Fire of Anatolia Dance Group as part of the festival.

The festival will end on September 25.
