İzmir Metropolitan Municipality İZSU General Directorate is solving the sewage problem of Foça Bağarası, which has been going on for many years, with an investment of 170 million liras. With the 30 km wastewater and 5 km storm water line project, all domestic wastewater of the region will be connected to the Gerenköy Treatment Plant.

İZSU General Directorate is making another big investment in Foça. In line with the demands from the region, works for the construction of the sewerage infrastructure and stream improvement began. The 30-kilometer wastewater and 5-kilometer stormwater line project that will serve the region has been put into planning to begin production. With this project, all domestic wastewater of Bağarası will be connected to the sewer system and the sewage problem that has been going on for many years will be resolved. Waste water that will be collected through sewer lines and reach the Gerenköy Wastewater Treatment Plant will be treated at the facility and disposed of without harming the nature.

İZSU General Manager Ali Hıdır Köseoğlu, Deputy General Manager Gürkan Erdoğan and accompanying bureaucrats made an investigation about the project in Foça. Köseoğlu, who met with the headmen of Foça Bağarası, Yeni Bağarası, Hacıveli, Kazım Dirik and Kocamehmetler neighborhoods, listened to the demands.

İZSU General Directorate has invested 2019 million TL in Foça, one of the important tourism regions of İzmir, since 294.
Thanks to the intensive work carried out by the General Directorate of İZSU in the district, Foça has acquired a new wastewater treatment plant operating with advanced biological method. Established on an area of ​​21 thousand square meters in Gerenköy, Gerenköy Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant treats 2 cubic meters of domestic wastewater per day.

İZSU General Directorate, which carries out a comprehensive study on aging and leaking drinking water transmission lines and water networks, renewed Foça's 40-year-old drinking water lines in order to prevent malfunctions and water leaks in the district. People of Foça got healthy and uninterrupted water from the new 100-kilometer line.

In addition, a new water tank with a daily capacity of 5 thousand cubic meters has started to serve the people of Foça.

İZSU General Directorate, which has made another big investment to meet Foça's need for healthy drinking water without interruption, is establishing a drinking water treatment plant with a capacity of 30 thousand cubic meters to meet the healthy drinking water needs of Foça and Yenifoça within the scope of this investment. The construction of the facility, which is under construction with an investment of 136 million liras, is about to be completed.
