Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay said that students who enroll in Konya universities this year can benefit from the buses and trams of Konya Metropolitan Municipality for 10 days free of charge with their student cards used in public transportation vehicles.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality, which has not increased student boarding fees in public transportation for 4 years and civil boarding fees for 2 years, offers students who enroll in universities in Konya using their student ID cards as Konyakart in public transportation and benefit from public transportation vehicles free of charge for 10 days from the first use.
Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay wished success to the students who chose Konya for their university education in the new academic year and stated that the students can use the student cards given to them by the universities on the buses and trams of the Metropolitan Municipality.
Mayor Altay said, “In the 2022-2023 period, we define a 10-day free subscription right to the cards of our students who enroll in universities in our city for the first time, as per the decision taken by our Municipality Council. Students can use our municipality's public transportation vehicles free of charge for 10 days from the first time they use their cards. When the free subscription period expires, our students can continue to use the discounted student tariff by downloading from dealers or via e-filling channel. I wish you well.” said.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality defines the cards of nearly 30 thousand students who registered to Konya universities for the first time this year as a discounted Konyakart.
