Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that they are working on the final details of the Pendik (Tavşantepe)-Sabiha Gökçen Airport metro line and said, “I hope we will put this line at the service of our nation in October. By providing the rail system connection at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, we will also increase the service, comfort and security here.”

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu conducted a test drive on the Pendik (Tavşantepe)-Sabiha Gökçen Airport metro line. Making a statement afterward, Karaismailoğlu said that while the whole world is grappling with crises, they are working for the future of Turkey with nearly 5 thousand colleagues at 700 thousand construction sites all over Turkey.

Karaismailoğlu, who stated that they continued their investments by increasing, said, “Today, we have come to the last stage of an important investment. We have completed all our transactions. We just did our test drives. I hope that by making the necessary examinations, we will leave the next few days behind and within the month of October. Kadıköy"We are all experiencing the pride and joy of bringing the comfort of the metro to Sabiha Gökçen Airport by continuing the Kartal metro line to Istanbulites," he said.

Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, said, “Sabiha Gökçen Airport was built years ago by the current leader of the main opposition party, 'Is an airport built where no planes land? It is one of the best examples showing the contradiction of a mentality that says, 'Build a trout facility in Salt Lake instead of building an airport for Sabiha Gökçen'. Sabiha Gökçen Airport has become one of the leading airports in the world, serving over 600 aircraft and 105 thousand passengers per day. With the sanctions we have made, Turkey will continue to serve the world at both Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Istanbul Airport by increasing its service quality.”

Karaismailoğlu, who thanked the employees, operators and airline companies for providing comfort at the airports in Turkey while there was chaos at the airports in Europe, continued his statement as follows:

“As they reflect this pride, this joy, this quality, this trust to all our citizens, they also reflect this exemplary service to the whole world. Despite many slanders and slanders, Istanbul Airport is located in an area of 75 million square meters, with zero economic value, with an investment of 1 billion euros without leaving a penny from the state's coffers, employing 10 thousand people and hosting 200 thousand passengers daily, with 230 daily airports. It has become one of the world's exemplary enviable projects, which hosts the landing and take-off of the plane. Although we do not spend a penny from our state's coffers, it will provide our state with a total income of 1400 billion Euros during the operation period.

WE HAVE A GREAT BREAKTHROUGH ON RAILWAYS

Stating that Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Istanbul Airport are very valuable works that will serve this country for centuries after the end of their operation period, Karaismailoğlu said, “I hope Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Istanbul Airport are among the most important pillars of Turkey, which is developing, growing and has the world's top 10 economies. there will be two. We have intensive work in all sectors. We are working intensively with all our friends in a total development effort in the land, air, railway, communication sector, space and sea. We have a big breakthrough in railways. Currently, we have entered a period of railway-based investment. We will carry passengers on our 4 km high-speed train line, which is currently under construction, all over our country, and we are doing important works that will contribute to the export and production of our country in terms of logistics.”

Karaismailoğlu stated that they are in an effort to increase the 8 provinces connected to the high-speed train on the railway to 52 in the coming years, “Again, we have important works to reduce the costs in logistics and the logistics cost in production by connecting our ports and organized industrial zones to the railway lines. In addition, reducing carbon emissions is one of the important factors in our railway investments. Intercity railways continue. Again within the city, our railway investments and rail system metro investments, which are planned in important metropolises and regions with high population density, continue feverishly. We have important investments in Bursa, Kocaeli, Ankara, İzmir, Kayseri and Gaziantep. There are those that are about to end, there are those that continue. Hopefully, we will put our important investments into the service of our nation in the coming days. We have 7 metro lines that are under construction by our ministry throughout Istanbul. We completed our 260-kilometer metro line, which is currently being operated in Istanbul, before 2019 and put it into the service of Istanbulites. This year, starting from October, we will open an important metro line in Istanbul every month. We will finish our other 4 metro lines in 2023," he said.

WE ARE WORKING ON THE FINAL DETAILS

KadıköyNoting that the Kartal-Pendik line is on the Sabiha Gökçen Airport connection, Karaismailoğlu said:

Hopefully, in October, we will put this finished line at the service of our nation. Together with Sabiha Gökçen Airport, with the D100, we are bringing the neighborhoods of Sabiha Gökçen Airport, especially Pendik, where there is a dense population movement and business movement, with the metro. As of October, we will bring the Şeyhli, Yayalar, Fevzi Çakmak and Kurtköy neighborhoods together with the comfort of the metro.”

WE COME TO THE FINAL STAGE OF OUR METRO FROM PINE AND SAKURA CITY HOSPITAL

Our plan is to complete the Başakşehir-Kayaşehir metro line in December, bringing Çam and Sakura City Hospital, one of the most advanced and modern hospitals in the world, to the metro, as well as providing the Kayaşehir-Basakşehir connection for our citizens, especially in Güngören, Bahçelievler, Başakşehir, Bağcılar. We also complete the Istanbul Airport connections and the metro connections at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura Hospital. We took over our metro line in Başakşehir right away when the current administration said that they would not build the metro line that we started earlier in the municipality time, and when they informed us that they would not build the metro line of our hospital, which has provided very important benefits especially during the pandemic process, as they did not make its way, and in such a short time. We will finish our metro line within 2 years and offer it to the service of Istanbulites in December.”

I hope they will speed up from now on, and they will make up for the loss of time.

Expressing that the Marmaray connection of Sabiha Gökçen Airport is actually among the projects that have been started before, Karaismailoğlu said:Kadıköy- He reminded that the Sabiha Gökçen connection of the Kartal line with a 2,5-kilometer connection was previously planned and the tenders were made. Karaismailoğlu said, “Unfortunately, there is currently no work in this section, which is the responsibility of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and the section between Pendik-Tuzla. They even went further and started the liquidation process. Unfortunately, within 3,5 years, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality took over and tendered, while the ongoing metro lines should have been completed until today, unfortunately, some of them have entered the liquidation process as there has been no progress. Hopefully they will speed up after this and make up for their time loss. We have this hope, but unfortunately we cannot see that activity in the field.” he said.

WE WILL IMPROVE SERVICE, COMFORT AND SAFETY

Here, our metro line, which has the capacity to serve 1 million 200 thousand passengers per day and has a speed of 80 kilometers, will meet with the people of Istanbul after a few days. Hopefully, by providing the rail system connection at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which is one of the most important airports in the world, we will also increase the service, comfort and security here.”
