Alstom announced that Mehdi Sahel has been appointed as the General Manager of Alstom Morocco.

Based in Casablanca, he will be responsible for implementing the Alstom in Motion (AiM) strategy, expanding business operations and overseeing business and operational performance.

Mehdi has successfully held general management positions in leading international groups, particularly in the banking, technology and management consulting sectors. He has more than two decades of experience in the region as well as in Europe, including project management and business development.

Mahdi's leadership and deep knowledge of the country will help us maintain our momentum in Morocco and ensure we remain committed and attentive to the Kingdom's needs. Located in Morocco for almost a century, Alstom is a longstanding partner in mobility development in Morocco. Alstom, with more than 650 employees in Morocco, is responsible for many major projects in the country, including the delivery of 66 Citadis X124 trams to the cities of Rabat (190 tram) and Casablanca (02 tram), 12 Avelia Euroduplex train for high trains. 77 Prima locomotives offering optimized solutions for the high-speed train connection between Tangier and Casablanca and for freight, passenger and combined transport services.

Alstom has succeeded in increasing the production of cables for railway applications as well as electrical switch boxes mounted on trains supplied to its plants in Europe and exported worldwide.
