“Pump selection criteria” discussed
Adopting the motto of "More Forward Together", aiming to keep both its employees and business partners up-to-date and thus making a difference in the sector, Masdaf met with dealers in different cities of Turkey on September 16-17. “Pump selection criteria” were discussed in the trainings held at the Özer Polatoğlu Auditorium located in Masdaf's Tuzla Headquarters Building.
Aims to increase the share of pumps in energy saving
Masdaf, which aims to increase the share of pumps in energy saving with the "Pump selection criteria" training, continues to contribute to the development of its dealers.
Within the scope of the training given by Masdaf Business Development Manager Sibel Akan; Information on the use of the SMARTSELECT Selection Program, practical selection criteria for building technologies, factors affecting pump selection, the role of choosing the right pump in energy saving and Ecodesign criteria were shared.
Sibel Akan said, “Ecodesign applications start first in electric motors and pumps” and continued as follows:
“20 percent of the total electrical energy consumption in the world is consumed by industry, and an average of 30 percent of industrial electrical energy is consumed by pumps. With a good system design and the right pump selection, 30 percent of the energy consumed in the industry can be saved. This rate is also supported by the American Hydraulic Institute and EUROPUMP.”
Fast and accurate pump selection
Touching on the importance of the Smartselect Selection Program in pump selection, Sibel Akan shared the following information:
“With Smart Select's predefined selection parameters and calculation methods, it is possible to select pumps quickly and accurately. However, in order to make the right pump selection, users need to have a good command of the program as well as to enter the data correctly into the program. In order to ensure correct data entry; It is necessary to know the fluid transfer requirements of the process, to calculate the system curve at the closest values, and to select the pump according to these data. At this point, the product configuration feature of the program supports the user. Because it can independently check whether the given pump data meets the entered criteria.
It is aimed that all Masdaf dealers participate in the training, which will continue throughout the year.
