Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Higher Education Student Dormitories application results have been announced. The results were made available on the website yurtsonuc.ibb.gov.tr. This year, 10 students applied for the quota of 2 people in 800 dormitories. Registration will begin on September 15.

İBB, which opened its first higher education student dormitories in Avcılar and Beyoğlu Örnektepe last year, will provide accommodation services to university students in 7 dormitories this year, with 10 new dormitories made ready for service in Gaziosmanpaşa, Esenyurt, Bayrampaşa, Şişli, Eyüpsultan, Ümraniye and Maltepe districts. In the 2022 – 2023 academic year, IMM dormitories will host 4 students in 6 boys and 2 girls dorms.

15 thousand 547 students have applied

9 thousand 250 students, 6 thousand 297 girls and 15 thousand 547 boys, applied to IMM Dormitories. Evaluations were made in accordance with many objective criteria such as placement score or grade point average, income level, number of family members and siblings, disability status, and closeness to martyrs and veterans. IMM Dormitory, to which young people applied the most, was IMM Beyoğlu Örnektepe Higher Education Girls' Dormitory with 5 thousand 491 people. Private İBB Gaziosmanpaşa Male Student Dormitory with a capacity of 2 students took the second place in the application density with the demand of 788 thousand 372 students. Şişli Male Student Dormitory, which has a quota of 78 students, became the third most demanded İBB dormitory with 2 thousand 286 applications. IMM Dormitories, which will host the students of the most preferred state and foundation universities this year, especially the Bosphorus, Istanbul and Istanbul Technical Universities, will also provide accommodation services to the relatives of martyrs and veterans and students with disabilities.

REGISTRATIONS BETWEEN 15-21 SEPTEMBER

With the completion of the application evaluation processes, the results were made accessible. Students can access the results of their applications by entering their TR ID and date of birth on the website yurtsonuc.ibb.gov.tr. Students who are entitled to stay in IMM Higher Education Student Dormitories and whose names are on the main list will be able to apply in person between 15 -21 September and register. Students who wish will be able to start staying in the dormitories on the day they complete their registration process. The rights of those who do not register on these dates will be deleted and the students on the reserve list will be invited to register and they will be able to register between 23 - 29 September.
