Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality has started the works for the restoration of "Hasan Kocabaş Mansion", which bears traces of the Ottoman era Kahramanmaraş architecture. The building, which was designed in accordance with the original, will be saved from its derelict state and brought into tourism.

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality gave the start of another important project that will preserve the historical texture of the city. In this context, Hasan Kocabaş Mansion, located in Turan District of Dulkadiroğlu district, will be restored. The building, which is estimated to have been built in the last period of the Ottoman Empire, was designed in accordance with the traditional Kahramanmaraş architecture mansion lines. Located on Bahtiyar Slope and deformed over the years, the three-storey derelict building will gain a new look with an area of ​​615 square meters. Tender processes continue for the restoration of the building whose project phase has been completed. The building to be restored will make an important contribution to Kahramanmaraş cultural tourism.

Kahramanmaraş Smells History Again

Restoration work continues on the historical island, where the historical Kahramanmaraş Castle is the reference point. After the façade improvement project, in which the Grand Bazaar was transformed into a silhouette of historical texture; Kadıoğlu, Hayrigül, Hayrigül 2 and Arslanbey Mansion were included in the restoration applications. Together with Hasan Kocabaş Mansion, the number of mansions that have been actively restored has increased to 5.
