The historical train “Venice Simplon Orient Express”, which is the subject of many writers, offers its passengers a fairy-tale journey and comes from Paris to Istanbul once a year, is in Turkey. Passengers were greeted with colorful images in Istanbul, the last stop of the nostalgic tour.

The Venice Simplon Orient Express train, which has been serving since 1883 and has been the subject of many writers from Agahta Christie to Alfred Hitchcock, departed from Paris on August 26, and was welcomed with the mehter team in Istanbul.0

In the adventure that started from Paris with 86 passengers, the passengers were welcomed by the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) officials.

TCDD 1st Regional Manager Necmettin Acar and TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ Istanbul Regional Manager Uğur Taşkınsakarya welcomed Venice Simplon Orient Express Europe General Manager Pascal Deyrolle and the passengers.

The Orient Express train, which will depart on September 2 after staying in Istanbul for two days, will reach Venice via Istanbul, Bucharest, Sinai, Budapest and Vienna. The train, which consists of a total of 8 wagons, including 2 bed wagons, 1 lounge wagons, 3 bar wagon, 1 restaurant wagons and 15 service wagon, has been making regular stops in Turkey every year since 1998.
