Expo Tech – R&D P&D Innovation Industry and Technologies Fair started in Fair İzmir. Speaking at the opening of the fair, which will continue until September 17th, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu reminded Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's words "The truest guide in life is science" and said, "As İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, we know the importance of production and export based on knowledge and innovation. We are advancing towards this goal,” he said.
Expo Tech – R&D P&D Innovation Industry and Technology Fair has started. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu, CHP İzmir Deputy Tacettin Bayır, İzmir Chamber of Commerce Assembly President Selami Özpoyraz, TRNC İzmir Consul General Ayşen Volkan İnanıroğlu, Ministry of National Defense Technical Services General, at the opening of the fair, which was held for the first time on 14-17 September 2022 at Fuar İzmir. Deputy Director Brigadier General Mustafa Üstün, İZFAŞ General Manager Canan Karaosmanoğlu Buyer, Ekaglobal General Manager Kadir Uçar, political party representatives and guests attended.
Özuslu: “The fundamental element is science and technology”
Deputy Chairman Mustafa Özuslu, who made the opening speech, said that the fair made significant contributions to the companies in the field of seeing the latest innovations, technology transfer, commercial connections and promotion. Noting that societies that possess knowledge and can mobilize science for development also hold power in economic terms, Özuslu said, “The fundamental element that will carry our country among the world's largest economies is undoubtedly science and technology. As the Great Leader Atatürk said, 'Science is the truest guide in life' clearly reveals the horizon and target we should look to. It shows us our duties and the path we must follow. The path we must follow is science and science. As Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, we are aware of the importance of turning to production and export based on knowledge and innovation.”

Kadir Uçar, General Manager of Ekaglobal, said, “Many pioneering works have been accomplished in İzmir. I hope this fair will also lead to new collaborations. I would like to thank everyone who contributed," he said.

Organized with the theme of "Domestic production, global trade", the Fair aims to increase the labor force of the leading industrialists in the sector by meeting with the suppliers and to increase the rate of locality in production. Expo Tech includes manufacturers using technology in all sectors, from automotive to defense industry, from agriculture to food, from energy to informatics. R&D centers, design centers, companies in the incubation and start-up stages, and companies located in technoparks and organized industrial zones will exhibit their innovative products, which are R&D, designed and produced at Expo Tech.
