Konya Metropolitan Municipality distributed reflective vests to cyclists in the morning as part of the European Mobility Week events, which is celebrated simultaneously with more than 2 cities in Europe. Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that the theme of the events to be held between 16-22 September this year is “Continue by Diversifying” and invited all Konya residents to the European Mobility Week events.

Noting that the week celebrated to protect nature, leave a clean environment for new generations and prevent air pollution, the week will also be full in Konya, Mayor Altay said, “This year's theme is 'Continue by Diversifying', during the European Mobility Week', bicycles and electric scooters at various points of the city. We will distribute thousands of reflective yellow vests to its users. In addition, free bicycle repair tents will serve for bicycle users at various points of the city every day throughout the week. Awareness activities, awareness activities for students and cycling programs will meet with the people of Konya.” said.
Stating that the bicycle tram will also serve free of charge throughout the week, Mayor Altay invited all Konya residents to participate in the activities for an active and healthy life.
REFLECTOR VESTS DISTRIBUTED TO BICYCLE RIDERS
European Mobility Week started early in the morning with the distribution of reflector vests to cyclists on the Istanbul Road. Metropolitan teams distributed reflective vests, which will be used in the evening, to the cyclists passing through the bike path, with the amendment made in the Highway Traffic Regulation.
The Metropolitan Municipality will continue to distribute high-reflector vests free of charge every day during the week at different points of the city.
BICYCLE TRAM FREE
As part of the European Mobility Week, which will continue until September 22, the bicycle tram will also provide free service for cyclists. Konya Metropolitan Municipality, which has placed free bicycle repair tents at various points of the city with Kültürpark during the week, will repair and maintain the bicycles of the bicycle users who come to the tent free of charge.
KONYA WILL HAVE A 'MOVING' WEEK
