Chinese Taykonaut Team Takes Spacewalk

The Shenzhou-14 crew successfully completed the 00-hour spacewalk at 33:6 Beijing time today. Three taikonauts, Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe, carried out the entire mission of the first spacewalk of the Shenzhou-14 manned spacecraft in close coordination.

At 18:26 p.m. Beijing time, one of the three taikonauts opened the door of the lab module named Chen Dong Wentian. After that, Chen Dong and Liu Yang continued their work outside the spacecraft, while supporting their work on the core module of the Cao Xuzhe space station.

The small mechanical arm of China's Wentian Laboratory module has successfully completed test work in orbit before the Chinese taikonauts set out on a spacewalk.
