New Route for Sabiha Gökçen Airport from Bursa

Providing uninterrupted transportation of Bursa residents to Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen airports, the Metropolitan Municipality has also included Gemlik, Orhangazi and Yalova on the BBBUS route. BBBUS, which previously followed the highway and went directly to Sabiha Gökçen, has now added the Gemlik, Orhangazi and Yalova terminals in addition to the existing route. BBBUS will also transport passengers at these stations to the airport from now on.

Contributing to the connection of Bursa residents with other cities and countries with BBBUS operating within BURULAŞ, the Metropolitan Municipality expanded its service network. A new route was created for Sabiha Gökçen Airport in the BBBUS bus services, which were launched in August 2017 for transportation to Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which is used extensively by Bursa residents, and was put into use for Istanbul Airport last year. BBBUS, which used to go directly to Sabiha Gökçen Airport via the highway, departing from Bursa Terminal, has created a new route that includes Gemlik, Orhangazi and Yalova upon popular demands. BBBUS, which departs from Bursa Terminal, takes passengers from the Gemlik, Orhangazi and Yalova terminals on these alternative flights to Sabiha Gökçen Airport and reaches Sabiha Gökçen. The return route of the line is also provided from a separate route.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş stated that accessibility is of great importance in line with tourism targets, both nationally and internationally, and said that Bursa residents especially use Sabiha Gökçen Airport intensively. Expressing that the flights made by BBBUS to Sabiha Gökçen Airport reached 90 percent occupancy rate, President Aktaş said, “Our flights were made directly from the highway, but there were intense demands to cover Gemlik, Orhangazi and Yalova. In addition to the highway line, we created a new route covering this region. For now, we have commissioned 4 times a day. We can increase the number of flights in direct proportion to the demand," he said.
