Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has implemented the "Capital Mobile Disabled Project" with the slogan "One hundred percent accessible capital" in order to facilitate the life of disabled citizens. Disabled citizens can notify drivers of disabilities in advance for safe and comfortable travel on EGO buses via Başkent Mobil. In addition, the application was deemed worthy of the "Accessible Informatics Municipality Award" by the Turkish Accessible Informatics Platform for the convenience it provides to individuals with disabilities.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its activities without slowing down in line with its goal of “an barrier-free capital”.

Introducing many activities from sports to art to include disadvantaged groups in the capital city, ABB has added a new one to its human-oriented projects. Başkent Mobil, which started to serve in order to facilitate the access of Ankara residents to the municipality and to access all kinds of information through a single application, was developed and the “Başkent Mobile Disabled Project” was implemented.

With the project, features that will facilitate the life of disabled citizens were added to the application. The project, which was implemented with the slogan "One hundred percent accessible capital" for disabled people; It was deemed worthy of the “Barrier-Free Informatics Municipality Award” by the Turkey Barrier-Free Informatics Platform.

THE DRIVER CAN BE NOTIFIED BEFORE

ABB launched the “Capital Mobile Disabled Project” with the slogan “One hundred percent accessible capital” for people with disabilities. With the project, disabled citizens' participation in social life and their lives are facilitated.

Thanks to the realized project; Disabled citizens can send advance notification to the driver of the oncoming bus while waiting at the stop. In this way; The driver knows that there is a citizen waiting for the bus with his wheelchair at the next stop and prepares accordingly.

Within the scope of the “Baskent Mobile Disabled Project”, an audiobook corner designed for the access of visually impaired citizens was added to the application. Not only Ankara residents but also all visually impaired individuals across the country can access the carefully selected audiobooks.

DISABLED IT MUNICIPAL AWARD TO BAŞKENT MOBİL

ABB's “Capital Mobile Disabled Project”, which provides many conveniences to people with disabilities; Manisa Celal Bayar University was deemed worthy of the "Barrier-Free Informatics Municipality Award" by the Turkey Barrier-Free Informatics Platform, of which the secretariat is conducted.

While awarding, conditions such as the fact that the nominated institution or service directly contributes to the social and economic lives of individuals with disabilities, their use of public institution services and their access to information by making use of information and technology services were sought.
