The leading companies of the aviation industry met at the AIRTAXI World Congress. Organized by Global Travel Investment, the congress started with the participation of more than 300 national and international aviation industry representatives. A. Serdar İbrahimcioğlu, General Manager of Informatics Valley, opened the congress. The congress hosted by Informatics Valley, Turkey's technology and innovation base, will continue for 3 days. The world's only vertical air show will be held on the last day of the event.

AIRTAXI WORLD CONGRESS IS IN TURKEY FOR THE FIRST TIME!

Informatics Valley General Manager A. Serdar İbrahimcioğlu pointed out that the congress was held for the first time in Turkey; “We are extremely excited. Because we are in an area where we can talk about air taxis in Turkey, and we have also invited and gathered all institutions and organizations that carry out these activities in the international arena.”

THE WORLD'S ONLY VERTICAL AIR SHOW WILL TAKE PLACE IN IT VALLEY

In the panels to be held in the first two days of the congress; Noting that the legal regulations on air taxis, technical studies, regulations, what awaits countries in the future in this sense, the reflections of this new technology on the transportation sector, trends and the integration of smart cities and air taxis will be discussed, General Manager İbrahimcioğlu said, “The last day will be more exciting because it will be more exciting. We will be in Informatics Valley one day and we will perform the first vertical air show not only in Turkey but also in the world”.

İbrahimcioğlu stated that there is an opportunity to see the works and prototypes made in this field in Turkey at the vertical air show that will take place, “It will be an environment where we can watch demo flights. We will host all the international and national guests coming to the congress there.”

WE WORK FOR THE CITIES OF THE FUTURE

Informing that they started to work with mobility as their focal point, İbrahimcioğlu said, “One of the studies in this field of mobility was flying vehicles. We are also the project coordinator of the Nar Innovation City project, where these vehicles can be used. Therefore, we are also working on structures that will build cities where we can see all of the electric autonomous connected flying vehicles that we will see in these cities.”

AIRTAXI BRINGS MANUFACTURERS AND INVESTORS TOGETHER

Ceren Baktimur, Event Director of AIRTAXI World Congress, mentioned that the event was held in London for the first time last year and said, “This year, we brought an international congress that shapes the aviation industry to Turkey in a more magnificent way. In particular, these meetings serve as a bridge between investors and producers.”

THE TARGET IS TO CROSS THE BOSPHORUS BY FLYING IN 2023

Eray Altunbozar, the founder of the air taxi company Aircar located in Bilişim Valley, gave the good news that Aircar will soon pass to manned tests; “We have made 65 flights so far. After the manned test phase, we will certify the Aircar and start serving. In this context, we aim to fly the Bosphorus in 2023. Of course, we want to make this flight manned and autonomous. After that, we aim to complete the necessary tests and put them into service.”

WE ARE PLANNING TO OPERATE AIR TAXI IN 2026

Informing that they are planning to operate air taxis over Istanbul in 2026, Gözen Holding Project Leader Oğuzhan Demiral said, “Air taxis will be able to move from the airport to the airport to other predicted points.
