AK Party İzmir Deputy Ceyda Bölünmez Çankırı and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Maritime General Manager Ünal Baylan also attended the meeting.

Aegean Exporters' Unions Coordinator Vice President, Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association President Hayrettin Plane said, “We presented our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Adil Karaosmanoğlu, about the opening of new sea lines to Africa, and our crude oil storage problems in Izmir port. New lines to Africa can be opened after companies in our poultry sector ensure that they will reach the export volume that will require this line. In the past, there were voyages from Izmir port to South Africa. This and similar routes will be reviewed again.” said.

The aircraft said, “Liquid products that may pose a danger (such as acid) are subject to permission due to environmental safety. Finally, oil was included in the list of these products. They stated that, regarding the storage infrastructure, our Unions will invest in İzmir port and allow the construction of silos by their Ministries. Our Ministry is ready to provide all kinds of support for the success of our investment, production and export-oriented roadmap. Logistics has become even more important today, with the global recession on the agenda. It was a productive meeting, I wish good luck to all of us in terms of our exporters and our region. On behalf of Aegean Exporters, we thank our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaosmanoğlu, for his constructive approach. In addition, I would like to thank our İzmir Deputy, Ceyda Bölünmez Çankırı, for being with us at all times, on behalf of the Aegean Exporters' Associations and all our exporters.” he said.
