The Youth Camp and Training Center Project implemented by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in Kepez district has come to an end. The youth camp, where young people and children from different age groups can participate in workshops and have a camp in touch with nature, will be the new favorite of young people.

The Metropolitan Municipality transformed the 15-decare area and the building in Kepezaltı, next to the Zoo, into a Youth Camp and Training Center. Renovation works have been completed in the project, which includes 60-bed Youth Camp and Training Center, accommodation sections, dining hall, workshop areas, sports fields, outdoor learning areas, pool and climbing wall. The Youth Camp, where the finishing touches are made, is getting ready to welcome its guests.

A Camp Intertwined with Nature

With the project carried out by the Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department, children and young people will meet with sports, art and social projects and spend time in nature. Art workshops such as music, dance, ceramics, cinema, sports activities such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, climbing, hiking, trips to natural and historical areas and various thematic trainings will be organized in the center.

The first guests will be young people from Manavgat

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Youth Services Branch Manager Hayat Ekici Gürkan said that the first guests of the Youth Camp and Training Center will be the young people who were affected by the fire that took place in Manavgat last year. Hayat Ekici Gürkan pointed out that many renovations of the youth camp, such as tables, chairs, cabinets and shelves, were made in the workshops of the Metropolitan Municipality and said, “We will have thematic camps in our camp area. Our children and young people will be able to attend one-week camps free of charge. In addition to sports activities such as workshop areas, library, basketball, volleyball and tennis, we will have many activities. They will spend a full camp period in our area,” he said.
