The amount of support will reach 15 million 625 thousand liras.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality took action to support the students of families in need in the 2022-2023 academic year. Social Services Department will continue to provide Education Cards (stationery materials), boots and coats to primary and secondary school students in 30 districts. The distribution of 20 thousand boots and coats and the Education Card application will start this month.

The support amount of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which allocates a total of 20 million 20 thousand liras to 10 thousand students for the Education Card, which has a balance of 500 million 205 thousand and 25 liras for 5 thousand boots and 125 thousand coats for the new education period, will reach 15 million 625 thousand liras. Metropolitan Municipality provided Education Card support to 65 thousand students and boots and coats to 63 thousand 560 students in the last three education years.

All the necessary materials for the production of boots and coats purchased from the İzmir Vocational Training Center were obtained from the tradesmen from İzmir. With the education card application, more than 200 stationery shopkeepers in İzmir are supported with the protocols signed with İzmir, Tire, Selçuk, Aliağa, Menemen, Ödemiş, Bergama, Bayındır and Torbalı chambers of commerce under the coordination of İzmir Chamber of Book and Stationery Tradesmen and İzmir Chamber of Commerce.
