Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Police Department started to celebrate the 196th anniversary of the establishment of the Police Organization with various activities. The celebrations, which started with the visit of the Head of Police Department Olcay Erdal and the accompanying delegation to the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Mansur Yavaş, continued with the laying of a wreath at the Ulus Atatürk Monument and the visits to the Anıtkabir.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Police Department is celebrating the 196th anniversary of the establishment of the Police Organization with various activities.

The 'Police Police Week' celebration activities, which took place between 1-7 September, started with the visit of the Head of Police Department, Olcay Erdal, and the accompanying delegation to Mansur Yavaş, the Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, in his office.

After ABB President Mansur Yavaş, the Head of Police Department Olcay Erdal and the accompanying delegation visited Abdurrahman Karabudak, the President of the Police Organization Federation, and will continue to visit the district mayors within the scope of their program that will last until 7 September.

CEREMONY IN FRONT OF THE ULUS ATATÜRK MONUMENT

As part of the celebrations, a ceremony was held in front of the Ulus Atatürk Monument. At the ceremony attended by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Police Department Head Olcay Erdal, Police Organization Federation President Abdurrahman Karabudak, district police officers and police officers, a wreath was laid on the Ulus Atatürk Monument to commemorate the 196th anniversary.

In his speech at the ceremony, Head of Police Department Olcay Erdal, stating that the Capital Constabulary increases the quality of service day by day and prioritizes the peace, happiness and health of the people, said, “Our police, in cooperation and coordination with the gendarmerie and the police, ensure the trust of our city is between the public and the municipality. It is a bridge of love and trust. Our Police Organization, which is at the disposal of our people on a 7/24 basis, has been one of the important guarantees of our citizens to live in an environment of security since the day it was founded.

Wreath Laid on ATATÜRK'S MAUSOLE IN ANITKABIR

After the ceremony held at the Ulus Atatürk Monument, Olcay Erdal, Head of Police Department, went to Anıtkabir and laid a wreath on Atatürk's mausoleum, and later signed the Anıtkabir Special Book. Erdal wrote the following in the notebook:

“As the Capital Constabulary, we are in the joy and pride of being in your spiritual presence as part of the celebrations of the founder of our Republic, the great leader of the Turkish nation, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the 196th anniversary of the establishment of the Police Organization. In front of your cherished memory, as the municipal police of the capital of our Republic, we promise to serve with a common mind, to ensure the peace and security of our citizens in the best way, under the supervision of our mayor elected at the disposal of our people, within the framework of justice and law, with a vision befitting our city. Great Atatürk, the Capital Police will take his power from the noble blood in his veins and will provide the best service and protect the Republic, which is your trust, at the cost of his life. With this determination and understanding, as the Police Department, we bow respectfully before you and our martyrs, may your soul rest in peace."
