Metro Istanbul lines will start operating on the Winter Schedule as of Monday, September 12.
Although the first and last train times are the same on all lines, the passenger densities of the lines were analyzed and changes were made in the frequency of departures during the day. As of Monday, September 12, all lines will carry out a total of 332 daily additional flights, providing 324.103 additional journey capacity. Thus, approximately 294.060 vehicles will be withdrawn from the traffic. Moreover; With the decision of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council, it was decided that on Monday, September 2022, 2023, the beginning of the 12-2022 academic year, between 06:00 and 14:00, the public transportation services included in the Istanbulkart integration will be free of charge. In accordance with the decision, free transit will be made on the rail system lines in the Metro Istanbul operation.
