Increase in Public Transportation, Taxi, Minibus and Student Service Fees in Samsun!

Samsun public transportation and student shuttle fees were increased. Commercial taxi, minibus and minibus fees were increased by 20 percent, light rail and municipal buses were increased by 15 percent, and student shuttle fees were increased by 30 percent.

After the discussions held at the Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) Meeting, 20 percent increase in commercial taxi, minibus and minibus fees, 15 percent increase in light rail system, 15 percent increase in municipal buses, and 30 percent increase in student shuttle fees.

UKOME officials gave the following information about the new hike tariffs:

“Taxi, minibus and minibus fees were increased by 20 percent, light rail system by 15 percent, municipal buses by 15 percent and student shuttle fees by 30 percent. With the applied hikes, the full price of the light rail system for 1-12 stations was previously 4,5 TL and the student was 3 TL. With the increase, the full student fee was 5,17 TL and the student fee was 3,45 TL. The cost of the city bus was exactly 6 TL, it became 7 TL. The student fee has also increased from 3 TL to 3,5 TL. The cost of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th line minibuses in the city was 6,5 TL per person, and increased to 7,75 TL. The student fee, which was 5,25 TL, increased to 6 TL. The opening price of the commercial taxi taximeter increased from 20 TL to 24 TL. The student shuttle fee increased from 0 TL to 10 TL for the shortest distance (435-565 km).
