Anadolu University Faculty of Communication Sciences Department of Cinema and Television sophomore Erdem Sönmez won the 19th Future Cinema Competition with his movie “Old is Dirty”. Our student Sönmez received his award from Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.
Sönmez: “This success I gained increased my motivation”
Expressing his views on the success he achieved, Sönmez said: “In the past, More Dirty was a script I started to write two years ago. It is a proud thing to return with an award after 2 years of hard work. Therefore, as a student, I was very happy to receive an award with a film that I both wrote and directed. This success I gained increased my motivation and accordingly, it gave birth to my enthusiasm to produce more. I want to work and produce more in the coming periods.”
