Afyonkarahisar hosted the Arnica Phrygian Ultra Marathon participants on 17-18 September.
A thousand (6) sports fans will swim on Saturday, September 11, at the Arnica Phrygian Ultra Marathon, which consists of five different tracks: 22K Phrygian Run, 44K Phrygian Trail Run, 66K Phrygian Short Trail, 17K Phrygian Medium Trail Run and 1000K Phrygian Ultra Marathon. Fifty (18) sports fans started. In the Afyonkarahisar Castle race held in addition to the Phrygian Ultra Marathon on Sunday, September 150, 18 runners climbed to the Afyon Castle after running between the historical houses of the city.
On the 100th Anniversary of the Great Offensive and the Great Victory, the Arnica Phrygian Ultra Marathon with enthusiasm created awareness by encouraging children and youth to do sports. The main goal of Arnica Phrygian Ultra was to remind that the struggle for independence began in these lands a hundred years ago, and to promote the region at international level with sports, the symbol of peace.
Aiming to contribute to the economy of the city by combining history, culture, nature and sports tourism, creating a higher added value and making the city a sports tourism destination, the Limit Sensin team held this organization for the eighth time.
Burcu Suzan, the women's winner in the general classification in the 66K Phrygian Run, completed the course in eight hours and 57 minutes, while the men's winner Oğuzhan Emre Singer completed the course in six hours and five minutes.

We are aware that we need to make more efforts to grow green areas due to the fires that broke out in various parts of our country recently. For this reason, we will do our part and contribute to the growth of green areas by planting a sapling for each Phrygian Ultra Marathon participant.”
