Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality renewed the traffic warning lamps at the junction, main artery and newly opened roads in Akçakale and Harran districts in order to ensure traffic safety.
Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department has installed a smart signaling system at the junction, main artery and newly opened roads in Akçakale District. Having completed the Smart signaling work in the Akçakale district, the teams started the smart signaling renewal work at the main arteries and junctions in the Harran District.
Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality carries out routine maintenance and repair work of signaling systems with a 7/24 service approach. The personnel of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Branch Office, which intervened in momentary breakdowns and accidents, completed the cleaning and modernization of signaling and electronic equipment in Akçakale and Harran District.
The works started in Akçakale and Harran districts will spread throughout the province and 40 more signalized intersections will be built. As a result of the works carried out in Şanlıurfa and its districts in the last 2 years, the number of signalized intersections, which was 70, will reach 150.
Safe transportation in traffic is ensured by maintaining and cleaning the industrial panel, infrastructure cables, vehicle counting cameras and warning LED lights. The malfunctions occurring at the intersections, which are constantly monitored by the officials in the traffic control center, are immediately resolved.
