He was born in 1970 in Gümüşhane. He graduated from Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Engineering in 1995 as an Electrical Engineer.
In the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality IETT General Directorate, where he started his first duty in 1996; He worked as Engineer, Control Supervisor in Building Maintenance, Repair, Rail Systems and Mechanical Supply Department, and Rail System Project Manager in Special Projects Directorate.

Pezük, who carried out successful works in the feasibility, study, design and construction stages of rail system projects for most of his professional life, made significant contributions to the popularization of metro and tram systems in Istanbul.
Starting from the study-project works of the Rail System Lines (Metro, Light Metro, Tram, Teleferik, Havaray) under the responsibility of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, he actively took part in the management of all construction activities, testing, commissioning and acceptance.
It contributed to the development of the domestic industry by carrying out successful studies in the preparation of specifications, tender, procurement and test commissioning processes of metro, light metro and tram vehicles purchased by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and increasing the localization rate of metro vehicles.
He carried out studies on energy efficiency in the buildings and facilities of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality with remote control and automation application in lighting systems in the main arteries, avenues and streets throughout Istanbul.
He served as a Board Member of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Kültür A.Ş., İGDAŞ, KİPTAŞ and İZBAN Board of Directors.
He was appointed as a Consultant to TCDD General Directorate in November 2019.
In February 2020, he was appointed as the Head of Railway Modernization Department at TCDD General Directorate.
Pezük, who was appointed as the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ General Directorate with the Presidential Decree numbered 2021/12, is married and has a child.

In 1998, he started to work as a Light Metro Vehicles Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at IBB Istanbul Transportation Inc. He left for military service while he was working as Light Metro Mechanical Workshop Supervisor at Istanbul Transportation Inc.
Upon his return from military service, he worked as Light Metro Heavy Maintenance Workshop Chief at Istanbul Transportation Inc. between 2002-2013; In 2013, he was appointed as the Production Coordinator in the Domestic Tram Vehicle Project at IMM Istanbul Transportation Inc. After this duty, he served as Workshops Heavy Maintenance Coordinator and Heavy Maintenance and Supply Manager, respectively.
Between 2016-2018, he gave lectures on graduation thesis and graduation project at the Department of Rail Systems Engineering at Karabuk University.
While working as the Assistant General Manager responsible for technical affairs between 2018-2020, he started to work as the General Manager Advisor at TCDD Teknik Mühendislik ve Müşavirlik A.Ş.
Ufuk Yalçın, who has been working as the Business Development and Project Management Director since October 2020, was appointed as the General Manager of TCDD Teknik Mühendislik ve Müşavirlik A.Ş in May 2022.
