STM, one of the leading names in the Turkish defense industry, which has signed important projects in the field of cyber security in Turkey, is organizing the 8th "Capture The Flag-CTF" event this year. Turkey's longest-running cyber security competition, which has been held digitally for the last two years due to the pandemic, is returning face-to-face again this year.
Applications for CTF'18, which will be held on October 22 and will witness the fierce struggle of white hat hackers, have started as of today. After the online pre-selection, the top 50 teams will be eligible to compete in the CTF to be held in Istanbul.
They Will Compete To Find Cyber Security Vulnerabilities!
Organized with the aim of raising awareness in the field of cyber security and developing human resources, CTF is the focus of attention of young people and cyber security researchers who want to pursue a career in this field.
Competitors participating in the CTF try to catch the flag by taking advantage of the vulnerabilities in the systems to achieve the goals set in branches such as cryptography, reverse engineering, web and mobile applications before other competitors.
Awards and Career Opportunities for Successful Competitors
In the "Capture The Flag-CTF" event, the first team will win 75 thousand TL, the second team will win 60 thousand TL, and the third team will win 45 thousand TL. Applications for CTF'180, where a total of 22 thousand TL will be awarded, as well as many technological equipment, are made through the address ctf.stm.com.tr.
During the event, STM's cyber security experts will share their experiences with young people by giving trainings. Successful competitors will also have the chance to do internship or career at STM.
