In a statement made today by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that railway cooperation projects have become a bright business card for China in the construction of Belt and Road and international industrial capacity cooperation.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sözcüü Wang Wenbin reminded that in recent years, the steps of China's railway projects to go abroad have accelerated and entered Asian, European, North American and African countries.
Pointing out that railway cooperation projects successfully represent China in the Belt and Road construction and international industrial capacity cooperation and contribute to the cause of global development, Wang said that Mombasa-Nairobi Railway is an important driver for economic and social development and improvement of people's living conditions in Kenya. He pointed out that it was powerful.
Wang stated that during the five years since the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway was put into service, the average usage rate has been over 90 percent and the Kenyan people have shown great interest in this railway.
