Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, and Hasan Pezük, General Manager of TCDD, opened the group photography exhibition titled "Through the Lens of Iron Wings", organized by the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) as part of the World Photographers' Day. Citizens also showed great interest in the exhibition, which will remain open until 28 August at Ankara High Speed ​​​​Train Station.

TCDD; Within the scope of World Photographers Day, the photograph exhibition, which includes 10 works on train, human, nature and life taken by 50 railwaymen, including the head of department, engineer, dispatcher and wagon technician, was brought together with the citizens of the capital. The Mixed Photography Exhibition Through the Lens of Iron Wings, held at Ankara High Speed ​​Train Station, was opened by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and the General Manager of TCDD Hasan Pezük.

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, who visited the exhibition together with TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük and examined the photographs one by one, received information from the owners about the stories of the photographs. Minister Karaismailoğlu, who cut the opening ribbon of the exhibition with the members of the protocol, thanked those who contributed to the preparation of the exhibition, which includes photographs of railways and life. Karaismailoğlu stated that Ankara YHT Station is a very important work that combines the old historical station (Ankara Station) with the new modern architecture and gave information about the railway projects they carried out. Stating that the railways have a very valuable place in the history of the country in terms of economy, culture and history, as well as transportation, Karaismailoğlu said, “Our goal is to develop the high-speed train culture. To make all our citizens experience the comfort, safety and pleasure of the high-speed train. We also made our plans. We are working to establish a 400 thousand kilometer railway network in Turkey, by extending the 52 kilometer high-speed train lines that we operate by 28 cities in the coming years. Currently, the construction work continues on the 4 kilometer high-speed train network.” he said.

Noting that 19,5 million passengers are transported annually on the railways, Karaismailoğlu said that they aim to increase this to 270 million and freight transportation to 440 million tons with the investments they have made. Pointing out that these investments will return to the country in terms of employment, production and tourism, Karaismailoğlu stated that they will achieve many successes thanks to their devoted team that takes care of the railways.

After the speeches, the ceremony ended with the presentation of photographs to Karaismailoğlu, who presented a plaque to the owners of the works and took their photos.

TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük stated that while equipping our country with high-speed train networks, on the other hand, there are always railwaymen in many projects that will carry our nation to a strong future and make our citizens happy. Underlining that the railways, a large family of 25 thousand people, contain many talents from writers to poets, from sportsmen to actors, from painters to photographers, TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük said, "While we weave our country with iron nets, we strengthen our bond of heart with our nation with such events." He thanked those who contributed to the exhibition.

Turkey Rail Systems Joint Stock Company General Manager Mustafa Metin Yazar, TCDD and TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ deputy general managers and personnel attended the opening of the exhibition.

Citizens of the capital and all our citizens passing through Ankara can visit our exhibition at the Ankara High Speed ​​​​Train Station, which will remain open until 28 August.
