Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu examined the Kadirli-Osmaniye Road construction site and then made a statement. Contributing to one of the most important elements of the vision of the future, Turkey's competitiveness and raising the society's quality of life; Karaismailoğlu noted that to create a safe, economical, comfortable, environmentally friendly, uninterrupted and sustainable transportation system, and said that during the AK Party governments, Turkey has made revolutionary progress in the information and communication sectors, along with land, air, rail and sea routes.

Karaismailoğlu, who stated that as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, invested 2003 trillion 2022 billion liras in Turkey's transportation and communication infrastructure between 1-670, gave the following information about the investments made:

“Across the country, we took the divided road length from 6 thousand 100 kilometers. We took it to 28 thousand 700 kilometers. We increased the highway network more than 2 times and reached 3 thousand 633 kilometers. We crossed the impenetrable mountains with tunnels and deep valleys with viaducts. We increased the length of the bridge and viaduct to 729 kilometers. We increased our total tunnel length of 50 kilometers to 13 kilometers by increasing it 661 times. We made our country the 6th High Speed ​​Train operator in Europe and the 8th in the world. We increased our total railway network to 13 thousand 22 kilometers. We increased the number of airports from 26 to 57. Our domestic flights, which were made to 2003 destinations from 2 centers in 26, are now operating from 7 centers to 57 destinations. Compared to the same period of 2022, the total air traffic increased by 2021 percent at the end of July 44. The number of passengers traveling by air in 7 months has exceeded 96 million.”

Our nation, which has been with us and behind us for 20 years, took care of Istanbul Airport. At this point, Istanbul Airport is strengthening its first place day by day, leaving European airports behind. There is chaos at European airports. There is comfort in Turkish airports. Thanks to our mega investments such as Istanbul Airport and other measures we have taken, we do not experience disruptions and problems in luggage, traffic and flights. While achieving these successes in the field of transportation, we are making great efforts in the communication infrastructure of our country. Last year, we took our place among the leading countries in the world by sending our Türksat 5A and Türksat 5B communication satellites into space. By sending our domestic national satellite Türksat 6A into space in 2023, we will take our place among the top 10 countries in this sector in the world. As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we are taking giant steps in line with the vision you have set in front of us in the transportation of people, cargo and data.”

WE INCREASED HIGHWAY INVESTMENTS TO 1 BILLION 595 MILLION LIRA IN OSMANİYE

Stating that every job is done to support Turkey's interests and future goals, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu emphasized that Osmaniye also gets the share it deserves from transportation and communication services in line with the targets. Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, said, “More than 371 percent of the 43 kilometers of highway in the province is divided highway. In the period of our governments, in Osmaniye; We increased our divided road length to 150 kilometers. We also made a single road construction and improvement of 104 kilometers. We put into service 347 bridges with a total length of 6 meters. While only 1993 million lira was spent for Osmaniye's highway investments in the 2002-95 period, we increased this figure more than 16 times to 1 billion 595 million liras. The total cost of our 6 highway projects, which continue throughout the province, exceeds 1 billion 128 million liras. We have completed the Osmaniye-Nurdagi Road, the Garden Crossing Road, and the Osmaniye Ring Road as a bituminous hot-coated divided road.”

PLANNED 41 KILOMETER AS A DIVERSE ROAD

Karaismailoğlu stated that 2,5 kilometers of the Kadirli-Osmaniye Road was built as a divided road and 38,5 kilometers as a single road.

“Together with the Kadirli-Andırın road, we built a 2,5-kilometer section of the Kadirli Southern Ring Road as a divided road. We also accelerated railway investments in Osmaniye. We renewed our existing conventional lines. Our Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep high-speed train project continues in Osmaniye. We will put our high-speed train line into the service of Osmaniye in 2025. The total length of the Kadirli-Osmaniye Road, on which we examined the construction site, is 52 kilometers. your way; We have completed and put into service the 10,6 kilometer section of the 8,2 kilometer section that forms the Kadirli-City Crossing and Kadirli-Sumbas provincial road. The 41-kilometer section of our project includes the Kadirli-Osmaniye provincial road. With the increasing population and traffic density, as well as the increase in agriculture and trade, this 41-kilometer section; We planned it as a 'divided road' and started working. In the road work, this year, divided road activities continue on the 5,5-kilometer section of the Kadirli Organized Industrial Zone road. We planned to put our entire project into service in 2023.”

Working on a 7/24 service basis, we have also set targets for the coming years of our country. until 2053; According to our Transportation and Logistics Master Plan we have prepared, we have planned investments until 2035 and 2053.
