National Judoist Sinem Oruç Won the Gold Medal in the World Judo Championship

Konya Metropolitan Belediyespor's Sinem Oruç, who hit the mat in the individual matches of the Hopes World Judo Championship held in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, won the gold medal.

Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay congratulated world champion judoka Sinem Oruç for his great success. President Altay said, “I congratulate our Konya Metropolitan Belediyespor Club athlete Sinem Oruç, her trainers and her family, who became the World Champion in Judo. I believe that Sinem's achievements will not end here, they will continue. May the road always be clear.” He used his expressions.

Eliminating his opponents one by one in the qualifying competitions, Oruç faced Slovak Lenka Tomankova in the quarter-finals and Austrian Emily Starzer in the semi-finals, respectively. Oruç, who rivaled Austrian Franziska Schloegl in the final, won the tough match with ippon and became the world champion in its weight class.

Sinem Oruç, who once again became a source of pride for Konya Metropolitan Belediyespor with the championship she won, also won the championship in the European championship held in Croatia in June and had the Turkish Flag hoisted.
