International Fish Catching Competition Started in Kandıra

Kocaeli International Fish Catching Competition, organized under the leadership of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, started in Uzunkum Nature Park. In the competition, which will end on Sunday, August 28, 8 athletes from 16 different countries, 120 of whom are foreigners, threw fishing lines.

Under the leadership of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the International Fish Catching Competition, organized in cooperation with Kandıra Municipality, İmeak Chamber of Shipping Kocaeli Branch and Kocaeli Sportive Angling Nature and Water Sports Club, started on the coast of Kandıra Uzunkum.

16 Athletes, 120 of which are FOREIGN

The Kocaeli International Fishing Contest, held on the Uzunkum beach, started with the lighting of the campfire. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality marching band performed. A total of 8 athletes, 16 of whom were foreign, from 120 different countries, participated in the first International Fishing Competition held on the Black Sea Coast.

AWARD CEREMONY SUNDAY

Competitors were placed in the lanes determined by lottery. Athletes warming up and training between 21.00 and 24.00 will compete in 3 stages. The ranking will be determined by the scores of the fish caught in the 1st and 2nd Stage competitions. The big fish stage will be implemented as a separate competition. The competitor who catches the biggest fish in the competition will be the champion of the Big Fish stage. Kocaeli Sportive Angling Nature and Water Sports Club members will be the field and table referees of the competitions. The award ceremony will be held on Sunday.
