The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure emphasized that with the Ovit Tunnel, which provides uninterrupted transportation between Rize and Erzurum for 12 months, an annual saving of 15.5 million liras has been achieved.

Pointing out that the transportation problem, which was interrupted during the winter months, was solved with the Ovit Tunnel, it was emphasized that the citizens had uninterrupted, safe, comfortable and fast transportation for one year. With the tunnel, the existing road was shortened by 3 kilometers. With the opening of the tunnel; A total of 4 million TL is saved annually, 10,8 million TL per year from time and 4,7 million TL per year from fuel consumption. In addition, 15,5 tons of carbon emission reduction is achieved.
