Yavuz Bülent Bâkiler was born on April 23, 1936 in Sivas. He is originally from Azerbaijan Karabakh. He is now 86 years old

Originally from Azerbaijan, Yavuz Bülent Bâkiler was born in a family whose grandparents had immigrated to Sivas from the city of Karabakh in Azerbaijan.[1] Archived October 24, 2019 at the Wayback Machine. He completed his primary and secondary education in Sivas, Gaziantep and Malatya. After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1960, he worked for a short time in Yeni Istanbul newspaper. While working as a reporter at TRT Ankara Radio Central Program Department, he prepared and presented various cultural programs. He worked as a lawyer in Sivas between 1969-75. He was nominated for mayor and deputy from the Justice Party, where he was the Provincial Chairman. After working as a legal advisor at the Prime Ministry Undersecretariat for Land and Agricultural Reform between 1975-1976 and working at Ankara Television between 1976-1979, he was appointed as the Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism between 1979-1980. After the September 12 Coup, he was appointed to the advisory staff and continued his service in this ministry until 1992. He retired in 1994 after serving as the Prime Minister's Advisor for two years.

After he graduated from high school in 1953, his poems were published in local magazines and newspapers after his first poem was published in the Turkish Art magazine. His name was among the poets of Hisar magazine. He wrote columns for Tercüman and Türkiye newspapers for a long time. On March 24, 2013, he resigned from his job at the newspaper Türkiye voluntarily.
