One of the election promises of Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer, the 35 Living Park project, which will bring nature together with the city, continues rapidly. Within the scope of the project, the first digging was struck in the Euphrates Nursery in Buca.

Work has started to transform the Euphrates Nursery in Buca, which will accommodate different areas of use, into a Living Park. From the election promises of Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer, the first pickax was struck in the Euphrates Nursery within the scope of the 35 Living Park project, which will bring nature together with the city.

It will host different usage areas.

Within the scope of the project, the existing concrete floors and steel construction structures in the area were removed. In addition, road and infrastructure works have started in the park area.

The living park, whose construction was undertaken by the Department of Parks and Gardens, Department of Science Affairs, Department of Construction and municipal companies İZDOĞA, İZBETON, İZSU and İZENERJİ, will host different usage areas. There will be a biological pond, greenhouse, meadow where events will be held, amphitheater and neighborhood garden in the approximately 30 thousand square meter park. There will be walking routes, cafeteria, recreation, sports and playgrounds for children in the living park, which will especially benefit the people of Gediz.

The people of Gediz wanted

During the field research, it was decided to make the Fırat Nursery a living park and the wishes and needs of the residents of the Gediz district were also taken into consideration in the design. As a result of the research conducted in Gediz by the Emergency Solution Team, which was formed by the President Tunç Soyer to determine the needs especially in the neighborhoods far from the center of İzmir and to produce fast and on-site solutions, it was determined that the residents of the Gediz district wanted a park.

The number of living parks in Izmir is increasing

In the 35 Living Park project Karşıyaka The construction of Mavişehir Flamingo Nature Park and Olivelo in Yelki Güzelbahçe have been completed. Work continues in Kaklıç, Kovankayası and Fırat Nursery.
