Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin made examinations in the “Vadi Alleben” project area, where water and green meet. President Şahin, who received information about the works carried out on an area of 600 thousand square meters, which is the first stage of the project to be built on an area of 270 thousand square meters with his technical team, said that the project will be completed by the end of the year.
Stating that Vadi Alleben will form the infrastructure of a child, youth, family-friendly, sports and education city for Gaziantep, and that it contains everything a child or a young person wants, Şahin said, “On the one hand, we are building bicycle paths and distributing bicycles. On the one hand, we make air bikes here. Air bike is important for both fitness and body health. Taking 10 thousand steps a day to have a zero belly is a solution, and riding an air bike is also a solution. We are diversifying and hopefully it will be finished by the end of this year. Our trees will start to be planted in September,” he said.
WE CREATE A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE CAN COME AND HAVE FUN WITH THEIR CHILDREN
President Şahin, emphasizing that Vadi Alleben will have a full identity with the themes it contains, said, “There are design trees in Ottoman gardens. A Dutch garden, a Japanese garden, a Chinese garden landscaping transforms into a truly international garden, with the accompanying design and the food used there. In this garden, we are realizing a place where people can come and have fun with their children on weekends, weekdays, day and night.”
BABY LIBRARY WILL BE BUILT
Reminding that the Metropolitan Municipality achieved the first with children's libraries, Şahin said:
“We will implement a new first in Vadi Alleben by the Metropolitan Municipality. We're making a baby library. This will be the first in Turkey. '7 is too late' says the scientific world. Before our children come to primary school, we are making spatial planning, which will assimilate the infrastructure of a climate-friendly, environmentally friendly, green city with the baby library, children's library kindergartens and nature, even before they start school. When these are finished, we will have brought a magnificent work to our city. When our citizens wait until the end of the year, we will open this beautiful masterpiece together and everyone will come here. These are all very special designs, special works. Hopefully, in this difficult time, while no nails are hammered in the world and everyone is struggling with a different crisis, every point of Metropolitan Gaziantep is on a construction site. We call 2 million entrusted to us. Me and my friends are working day and night to do justice to this trust.”
After her visit to Vadi Alleben, Mayor Fatma Şahin also examined the new City Park, which will be built on an area of 52 thousand square meters, built by the Metropolitan Municipality in Osmangazi Neighborhood of Şehitkamil district.
Within the scope of the project, the vehicle parking needs of the region will be met with a parking lot of 7 thousand 500 square meters. The park will also contain a bicycle and walking path, a book cafe, a fitness area and a mosque.
THE ISLAND OF ADVENTURE WILL PROVIDE MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO YOUTH AND CHILDREN
In addition to the existing trees, approximately 3 trees, 200 shrubs and groundcover/ivy, 8 thousand seasonal plants will be planted in the Valley Alleben area, as well as the existing trees.
In the project, there will be bicycle paths and walking paths that will strengthen the sports infrastructure for the 'Child and Youth Friendly City'. On the Adventure Island, which will be located on an area of approximately 40 thousand square meters, it is planned to have an air bike, free fall, a 15.5 meter high adventure tower and tracks, zipline, giant swing, survivor track, children's adventure playground, archery area and paintball field.
COUNTRY GARDENS AND DIFFERENT PLANT SPECIES WILL BE TOGETHER
Another function within the project will be the country gardens area, where different plant species coexist. In this area, which is built on an area of approximately 21 thousand square meters, Gazi will show the landscapes and garden cultures of the countries to the citizens.
On the walking tracks overlooking the Alleben Creek, besides the creek view, the Ottoman Garden (Garden of Paradise), the Chinese Garden, the Japanese and Zen Garden, RönesansIt can be visited in the Baroque Gardens, the Dutch Garden and the plant towers. Giant plant towers, which will be located in 7 different regions in the valley, will not only give an identity to the area, but also become a focal and meeting point for visitors.
CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES WILL BRING TO THE FOREIGN
Vadi Alleben will also give importance to cultural and artistic activities. There will be 1 book house, baby library, 1 piano house. There will be a 720 square meter outdoor fitness area, 1 mini football field, 1 multi-purpose field, 1 dressing building for the fields and green areas.
