Pre-release Information on OSRS's Amascut Tombs

Tombs of Amascut will be released soon and you will be able to face four new bosses, win many unique rewards and adjust the difficulty of the raid like never before.

Tombs of Amascut is this massive OSRS release that all of the PvMers are enthusiastic about. It is the third raid besides Theatre of Blood and Chambers of Xeric. Similar to the other two raids, you'll be able to obtain valuable items worth millions and millions of OSRS GP . Although, to be honest, the prize pool for the bosses of Tombs of Amascut has some less desirable rewards that are worth pennies (like only a couple thousand OSRS gold). Still, they might be helpful for you if you're an Ironman. Let's take a closer look at the rewards—the valuable ones, of course.

Unique Rewards Await

Tombs of Amascut can reward you with quite a few unique OSRS items . You'll be able to obtain both tradeable and untradeable uniques. While you won't be able to get any OSRS GP for the untradeable ones, you'll surely be able to sell the tradeable rewards for hundreds of millions of OSRS gold.

1.Masori Armor

This is a ranged armor set that you'll need 80 Range and 30 Defense to equip. Once you upgrade it using an Armadyl's armor with 90 Crafting, you'll need 80 Range and 80 Defense. The Masori armor set comprises a helmet, a chest piece, and a bottom. You'll need one Armadyl helmet, a chest plate, and a chain skirt to upgrade your Masori set. Alternatively, you can use two chest plates, eight helmets, or three chain skirts (but using three chain skirts will give you a leftover Armadyl plate).

The upgrade will only increase the range defense bonus of the armor and no other stats but will also increase the defense level requirement to wear it. It will also give you the +1 Prayer bonus given by all the god gear. Nonetheless, it is one of the best Ranged armors in the game.

2.Shadow of Tumeken

This staff is the new best-in-slot magic weapon. You'll need 85 Magic to wield it, giving you a big Magic Attack bonus of + 35 and a + 20 Magic Defense bonus. It has an attack rate of 5 and a +1 prayer bonus. But the weapon's stats are not really what makes it so powerful: it’s the special effect. When you're wielding this powered staff, your other gear's magic strength and accuracy are tripled.

The magic strength is capped at 100 percent. Since this is a best-in-slot item, it will undoubtedly be highly valued. You'll need chaos and soul runes to power it, and the base max hit is your magic level divided by 3 plus 1. For example, if your magic level is 90, your max hit will be 31.

3.Ward of Elidinis

This magic shield is another remarkable drop from Tombs of Amascut. It is another best-in-slot item. You’ll receive it as a broken ward and need to combine it with an arcane sigil and 10.000 soul runes to bring it to its full potential. Once you do this, it will become untradeable—similar to how the Ancient Wyvern Shield works.

The charged/repaired version will give you the following defensive bonuses:

  • Blade Defense +53
  • Slash Def +55
  • Crush+73
  • Spell +2
  • Ranged +52

On top of this, it will give you a +25 Magic Attack and a +4 Prayer bonus. It will also boost your overall magic damage by 5 percent. You'll need 90 Prayer and 90 Smithing to repair it.

So, if you needed yet another reason to train your Prayer or try out the new Smithing activity, Giants' Foundry, now you have one. You can also take advantage of the new mobile helper for the Blast Furnace with extra motivation to train your Smithing skill.

4.Osmumten's Fang

If the magic or ranged gear doesn't appeal to you, this melee weapon might. Osmumten's Fang is a melee weapon with a unique special attack. The special attack costs 25 percent of the special attack energy, and it will increase your max hit and accuracy. You'll need 82 Attack to wield it.

It's a great weapon against enemies with a high defense and potentially the new meta for killing the Corporeal Beast. Moreover, if you're an Ironman, you'll need to kill the Corporeal Beast for the arcane sigil to repair your BIS magic shield from Tombs of Amascut.

5.The Lightbearer

This is the massive quality of life that everyone has been expecting. You'll be able to use the thread of Eldinis to upgrade your rune pouch to carry different types of runes with XNUMX Crafting. The downside can be it’s an untradeable item.

6.Eldinis Thread

This is the tremendous quality of life everyone expects. With 75 Crafting you will be able to use Eldinis thread to upgrade your rune bag to carry different types of runes. The downside is that it may be a non-tradable item.

7.Keris Partizan Jewels

There are currently three different gems you can obtain, but you'll only be able to use one of the three outside of the raid. With Keris Partisan jewels, you can add one jewel at a time to enhance it and give additional effects.

Bosses to Expect in Tombs of Amascut

Except for lore info, Jagex hasn't disclosed much about any of the four bosses you'll face in Tombs of Amascut, such as mechanics or attack style. The four bosses you'll face in Raids 3 are:

  • Akkha - a human warrior boss
  • Dad-ba – a baboon boss
  • Kephri – a scarab boss
  • Zebak – a crocodile boss

Invocations

Invocations are what you’ll use in Tombs of Amascut to set the difficulty level of the raid. This is important because, with increased difficulty, you'll get the rare rewards more often, resulting in you getting more OSRS gold in return. Each invocation you'll use will give you a certain amount of points that will count towards the total difficulty level of the raid. Four brackets will give you progressively better chances of obtaining rare rewards. From 0 to 149 points, you'll have the entry mode, while from 150 to 299 points, you'll have the normal mode. You'll have an expert mode raid whenever you use invocations that add up to more than 300 points.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to obtain all the unique rewards from the difficulty levels. You'll also see the potential rewards when setting the difficulty, so you'll know how much potential OSRS GP you can get from that particular run.
