The General Directorate of Security Private Security Supervision Department launched an on-site investigation to provide training to 330 private security guards working in 15 health institutions across the country and to identify security deficiencies in hospitals.

The General Directorate of Security Private Security Supervision Department has started to train 330 private security guards in 15 health institutions across Turkey in order to prevent violence against healthcare workers.

General Law Enforcement-Private Security Cooperation and Integration (KAAN), which was initiated by the Presidency in order to ensure effective communication, cooperation and coordination of private security officers working to complement public security with the general law enforcement forces, to prevent crime before it occurs, and to ensure that the general law enforcement is informed about the events in the fastest way. ) continues its inspection and training activities within the scope of the application.

In the first phase of the implementation, training was given to private security guards and general law enforcement personnel in all public and private health institutions, which were given private security permits and received private security permits outside the city hospitals.

In this context, the relations and cooperation processes created by the KAAN application between the private security officers and the relevant general law enforcement personnel will be examined on-site and measures will be taken to improve them if needed.

Thus, it is aimed to prevent incidents of violence against healthcare professionals, with the more coordinated work of private security guards and general law enforcement personnel working in hospitals. It is also aimed for private security officers to work more efficiently and to intervene effectively in the events that may occur.

As part of the "On-Site Inspection and Training" activity, inspections and training are carried out by the chief police inspectors in 32 provinces, and by the Provincial Security Directorate Private Security Branch Offices in the remaining 49 provinces.

So far, the "On-Site Inspection and Training" activity has been completed for 28 private security officers working in 194 hospitals in 4 provinces by the Police Chief Inspectors, and 975 private security officers working in 26 hospitals in 63 provinces by the Provincial Security Directorate Private Security Branch Directorates.

It is aimed to increase cooperation

The aim of the inspections is to increase cooperation with the high-level integration of the private security guards in hospitals and the general law enforcement, to inform the general law enforcement immediately of the events within the scope of the KAAN application, to increase the security controls in the health facilities by the public order units and to keep the security awareness of the private security guards.

On the other hand, it is aimed to plan security measures in line with the data obtained by analyzing the incidents that occur with private security guards and general law enforcement, the way of responding to events that may occur in hospitals, preventing crime and communicating with patients' relatives, evaluating whether the security configurations are constructed effectively and correctly.

In addition, work continues to ensure that the necessary security measures are taken within the framework of the new security concept in accordance with the "Hospital Emergency Code Structure" used in health institutions, to inform the people responsible for the security units of the hospitals in line with the risk analysis, and to ensure that the hospital managements take an active role in the security processes.

Work continues for 27 health institutions in 73 provinces within the scope of on-site inspection and training activities.
