Republican People's Party Sakarya Provincial President Ecevit Keleş stated that the rail system is the biggest need of Sakarya and said, “The geographical structure of the city is suitable for this. All that is needed is a management with a high sense of duty.”
The Republican People's Party (CHP) Sakarya Provincial President Ecevit Keleş also made a statement regarding the rail transportation systems that have been said to be built in Sakarya for years. Drawing attention to the geographical structure of Sakarya, Keleş said that the installation of the rail system should not be delayed any longer.
NUMBER OF VEHICLES INCREASES
Stating that the number of vehicles in Sakarya has increased, Keleş said, “The population of Sakarya is increasing day by day. Although it is not very clear, the migration that started out of Istanbul; It causes the population to be affected in cities such as Izmit, Adapazarı and Bursa. I think that Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality should make its preparations within this foresight. So much so that Sakarya is the most open city of the region in terms of its geographical size. All these events also lead to an increase in the number of vehicles in the city.
“NEW SOLUTIONS FOR THE CITY MUST BE PRODUCED”
Stating that Sakarya needs new solutions in transportation, Keleş said, “At this point, new solutions should be produced for the city. The rail system is one of these solutions. It is mentioned before every election. However, no concrete steps have been taken for years. Sakarya is very convenient for the establishment of rail systems in terms of its geography. The solution to the increasing traffic congestion every day is through this system.
“VERY COMFORTABLE TRANSPORTATION CAN BE PROVIDED IN DISTRICTS”
Stating that the city is very suitable for the rail system in terms of geography, Keleş said, “So much so that you can connect several districts in Sakarya. With the small lines to be added to Hendek-Akyazı-Erenler- Adapazarı and this main line, it is possible to reach other districts very easily. The geographical structure of the city is suitable for this. All that is needed is a management with a high sense of duty. Mr. Yüce always expresses this project with simple explanations, but it is never enough.”
“SAKARYA'S MOST IMPORTANT NEED”
Expressing that they know the needs of the city, Keleş said, “We are aware of the needs of our city. We see the steps that can be taken. The people of Sakarya, who have been stalling with the promises made for years, will encounter traffic problems that will increase in the future. Those who could not put the rail system into service during their term of office are the chief culprits of this problem. The rail system is the most important need of Sakarya today, where transportation is civilization. It is necessary to question the sincerity of the Metropolitan Municipality of those who cannot meet this need.”
