Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology, who made the opening of TEKNOFEST Black Sea, which was held at Samsun Çarşamba Airport between 3 August and 30 September under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T4 Foundation), said that in his speech here, August 30 Victory Day and TEKNOFEST He thanked everyone who participated in TEKNOFEST, the manifesto of the great and powerful Turkey, the driving force of the National Technology Move.

Stating that TEKNOFEST is a success story written by hundreds of thousands of heroes from the past to the present, Varank noted that the festival is the story of these lands. Noting that the Turks were a state that ruled the world with justice for centuries with its military and economic power, Varank stated that today Turkey is one of the most important actors of the world in the defense industry.

Stating that there is a Turkey that could not even produce its own national infantry rifle until a few years ago, Varank noted that the Turkish SİHAs, which make the world headlines today, change history, not the game.

Noting that Turkey has a vision in every field from mobility to space today, Varank said, “There were headlines in the newspapers in this country because we produced flagpole rope in the past. Today, we are discussing our national hybrid rocket that will take us to the moon. We are talking about our domestic and national electric car, Togg. Let alone talking, we see and touch our pride, our national drone warplane, the Red Apple. Today, there is a Turkey that determines, not follows. made its assessment.

Varank, most importantly, said that there is the TEKNOFEST generation that believes that Turkey can play leadership in every field with high technology and that sheds sweat on this path. Stating that the TEKNOFEST generation is the generation that will design and produce national combat aircraft, combat unmanned aerial vehicles, flying vehicles, vertical landing rockets, and hyperloop transportation vehicles that can travel on land at the speed of sound, Varank said, “We believe in our youth. We believe in the enthusiastic, faithful and determined crowd here. We believe in our brothers who could not come here but whose hearts beat with us.” said.

Varank said that five years ago, the number of people who visited the first TEKNOFEST was 550 thousand, and this year, the number of competitors who applied only to the competitions is over 600 thousand. Stating that the competitions, in which 14 thousand contestants applied in 20 different categories in the first year, continued on their way with more than 40 thousand applications in 600 different categories, Varak stated that hundreds of thousands of young people had the chance to apply what they learned here.

Stating that they will host the participants to a magnificent feast this year, as every year, Varank noted that the products that will show here have been made in the last 20 years. Varank stated that they did not have the chance to see them on the August 20 Victory Days 30 years ago, and said, "We are currently performing these shows with these products. Here, we are working to build the understanding that befits August 30 Victory Day in this country.” said.

Stating that more than 5 million liras of material support was provided to 252 thousand 22 teams that made it to the finals in this festival, Varank said that over 10 million liras were given to the winning teams.

Pointing out that there is not a single step that Turkey will take backwards from now on, Varank said, “Turkey will no longer be a consumer and a buyer, but a producer and exporter. It will be a country that determines the developments, not imitating or following them.” said.

Addressing the families, Varank said, “These young people you support will be the Selçuk Bayraktars and Aziz Sancars of tomorrow. As the government, we will always stand by the youth and their families who support them. We will walk this path together.” said

President of the Presidency of Defense Industry İsmail Demir stated that a successful organization was signed in Samsun and said, “When TEKNOFEST first started, it was focused on the defense industry, but today we see that it has spread over a very wide area. This makes us happy as follows; It is not possible for a country to be strong only in the defense industry. A country that does not have a strong industrial ecosystem, technology and R&D structure cannot be strong in the defense industry. That's why TEKNOFEST caught a stir and created a wave. We were not only in Turkey, but also in our sister country Azerbaijan a few months ago. This wind will continue.” he said.

TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar said, “When we started working for TEKNOFEST with our teammates, we dreamed of a mobilization for full independence, a revolution that would take place in the minds. Just 5 years ago, if we had said that hundreds of thousands of Turkish youth would flock to an organization in Turkey with technology competitions at its center, we would probably be ridiculed to say the least. Today, 40 thousand young brothers from all age groups applied to TEKNOFEST's technology competitions in 600 branches.” used the phrases.

At the ceremony, Samsun Governor Zülkif Dağlı and Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir each made speeches.
